Deb Montrose, PhD, LSW is Director of Research Operations for the University of Pittsburgh Department of Psychiatry and UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital. Dr. Montrose is a licensed social worker who has been involved in studies investigating the key features of the early and later stages of psychotic illnesses, as well as the clinical and genetic risk factors for developing a psychotic illness. Since 2016, she has served as the Director of Research Operations. As Director of Research Operations, Dr. Montrose oversees the Department’s portfolio of federal and foundation grants, managed by the Department of Psychiatry’s Office of Grants and Contracts. She also has leadership responsibilities in promoting health equity research and diversity, equity and inclusivity in departmental operations. Dr. Montrose is currently working towards her certificate in Diversity and Inclusion from the University of Pittsburgh.
